Hello. My name is Brandon. Well, anyway, I've came across Pac-Man on Ebay, decent price for a 1984 NES game. I remember playing it when I was a little kid. Plus, I still have my in-tact Nintendo entertainment system. so yeah, I ordered it. yeah. it didn't look too good at a glimpse. it had white paint, clearly writing "do not open". And just like anyone who would read it, I opened its protective cover. The cartridge was in a quite decent and playable condition. So, I popped it in my Childhood NES console, and yeah. I'd be better off listening to the previous owner's warning and not opening it.
The gameplay[]
Once I booted the game up, I noticed a lot of differences in the game. like the menu had the Infamous 256 glitch. I was surprised to see 256 at the menu, but I continued on to playing it, and when I started up the 1-player game, heard a distorted and low-pitched version of the intro sound, and guess what? I got on my last life at the start of the first map, so I had to be pretty aware of the ghosts, that I saw differently than the known ones, their eyes were completely black, and the ghosts were all snow white. and yes, but somehow, I died while they were in the TURN-TO-BLUE phase. Pretty sure you can eat the ghosts while there like that. Instead of the usual game over screen that covers the middle, it blinked to a black screen that read this:
It's almost like the game had AI outside of the ghosts, it scared the shit out of me, since it was true, I was going to. and when I did, it crashed.
Afterward, I got some shuteye for a few hours and then I reinserted the game, and it was now working as usual, but however, I was eating my breakfast cereal, and then it said this. followed by a high-frequency sound.

Now I was really getting scared, but as my curious ass is, I still pressed the start button. Now on the game but the colors were usual, which is good, but all of the ghosts looked blue, with eyes, luckily. And, the bonus fruit, the bonus fruit, there was only the key, I thought the key could mean the possible way to make it stop, always did, always had as a kid, but I always died before I could take it. But no, NO IT DIDNT! It acted as the ghosts normally that being it killed me in-game, instead of the regular respawn, the same 256 glitch from the title screen filled up my screen, at the same time, a glitchy version of the intermission theme played. And by that point I've gotten very, very freaked out. I shut off my NES, took out the game cartridge, and contacted Namco, and they couldn't do anything about it. well now what, I still needed to see more from it, I myself, yet again, reinserted it. and unfortunately, my Nintendo Entertainment System was toast when I did, fortunately, I have some fucking money. So, I purchased another Nintendo Entertainment system off of Ebay, then reinserting it. I thought it would play the same way it did for the initial time.
Yeah, no. It didn't. The game was being very angry at me. now it flashed to a black screen, and this time, it read this:

That was my last straw, I had wanted to dispose of it myself, well I did in my trash can. But it was probably not able to be thrown away, so I dug it out and yep, it was acting way worse to me, once I yet again, started up the gameplay, it faded to black with text that read this:

That was my last straw (for real this time), and I threw it away, it was gone. Its destroyed, but I was haunted by the past experience.
I will never, ever see Pac-Man the same way ever again.
