On an unspecified in 2019, a modern SpongeBob SquarePants episode titled "Side Show Sandy" was scheduled to air. The plot of the episode allegedly involved a new fair opening in Bikini Bottom. However, as the Flying Dutchman haunted the event, his first target was Sandy, so he would then go to possess her, causing her to go on a rampage and run wild through the streets of Bikini Bottom. Apparently, this was not the case.

The Title Card

The episode finally started airing, but just the opening was unnerving. The opening sequence seemed eerily, quiet. Instead of having a title card theme like every other episode on the show, it was just quiet wind blowing with the sound of tree branches covered in leaves scratching one another.

The episode started with a shot of the Bikini Bottom Fair, with the sounds of carnival music and people chatting in the background about the rides, it then cuts to SpongeBob and Sandy walking through a wide area of the fair.

As SpongeBob speaks, his dialogue abruptly cuts off, going completely silent. The scene then skips what could have been a minute or two, immediately transitioning to the Flying Dutchman's ship. It then cuts scenes once again; the Flying Dutchman is seen looking through his telescope at the fair's bright lights. Strangely, there was no audio or dialogue. That scene was also skipped due another glitch.

The only known image of Sandy.

Almost all of the scenes glitched out heavily, almost as if it was skipping a full 3 minutes or so. After skipping the Flying Dutchman scene, it then cuts to Sandy twitching and slightly gaining an aura of green, hinting that she was possessed by the Dutchman in the middle of one of the glitches.

After being possessed, Sandy's head started spinning, and she started foaming out her mouth and turning a light shade of red. Her helmet started to shatter, and her body started to become misshapen, a closeup of her teeth are shown, they then become crooked, and blood starts dripping out, something was extremely wrong with this episode, could it have been a hijacking? Most likely.

SpongeBob then turns around after hearing strange noises come from Sandy, SpongeBob screams so loud, it could literally disable a person's ears completely. The scene proceeds to glitch out once again, cutting to SpongeBob hiding inside of a wooden box at a place similar to what looks like an abandoned tent at the circus. The only thing you could hear was just SpongeBob breathing heavily, he was panting, it was most likely Sandy attempted to murder SpongeBob, but instead he got away.

SpongeBob then looks up at the crate slowly opening, revealing Sandy's demonic and disturbing form, she opens up the top of the crate with a wide smile and nothing but pitch-black eyes.

The episode is abruptly cut off with a quick flash of bright, heavy static. All that could be seen afterward were words that possibly said "we were tighter than bark on a tree, now we're tighter than skin on a corpse." in a very dark, red-colored text.

Finally, after all of that, the credits rolled, but the music was slower than normal, with what could have a quieter of SpongeBob's scream from earlier play for a split second in the background. The airing quickly returned to normal as if nothing happened.

This was extremely violent and disgusting for a SpongeBob episode, it almost didn't even feel like a hijacking, it felt like Nickelodeon purposely aired this just to traumatize kids who were watching, is this what Nickelodeon has really come to? Also, what's crazy is this event happened in 2019, Nickelodeon hasn't gotten any complaints, nobody was reported, it's almost like, it was all just like some kind of fever dream.
