Being a huge fan of Nickelodeon for many years, just wasn't worth it, especially after what I came across while watching Nickelodeon one night.

I'm going to start this story off straight and detailed, because I need people to know everything on how Nickelodeon isn't a kid's channel, but instead a cheap, traumatizing company that basically allows anyone to hijack the channel freely as if the company has literally no control over it.

Alright, so what happened was I was laying down on my couch sick one night eating some snacks and dealing with a sore throat, I was watching TV to get my mind off my throat pain and itchy eyeballs, and I noticed Nickelodeon was about to start playing a new episode of SpongeBob, which I have yet to see, I wanted to see how my favorite kids show was doing, especially for the fact that I haven't watched or heard anything about the show in what felt like centuries.

I played the channel and waited for it to play, while I was waiting, I got up and grabbed some ice water to help my throat, the fact that I was sick the same day I experienced this disturbing SpongeBob premiere made matters worse, I sat back on the couch at the perfect timing, the commercial break was over, and I was so hyped.

The episode was called "The Wrong Notes", which immediately made me think of Squidward and how his clarinet skills are just awful, which was a main part of what this episode was mainly about.

Squidwardclarinet

Squidward playing his clarinet.

The episode started off simple like your average SpongeBob SquarePants episode, except, the screen seemed to be blurry, and it wasn't because of my TV's quality, and plus the channel said it was a new premiere, even though it had the classic artstyle.

Squidward was just happily hopping around his art gallery enjoying playing his clarinet, doing ballerina-like poses and seemed happier than normal, I've never seen him with a joker-wide smile, Squidward then pauses, as he hears his doorbell ring, he ran downstairs in a hurry with his clarinet in his hand to get the door and came across a tall, looming black figure taller than his doorway, the creature had glowing white eyes, and didn't look like the average newly-introduced SpongeBob character.

The figure started speaking in a disturbingly low voice, which made the character sound completely gibberish, I spat my ice water out all over the floor at the first glance of the creature, because I was in shock, this didn't feel like SpongeBob at all, and plus, I heard there was 2 spinoff series', I had to check again and make sure this was actually the main series, and it was.

I unpaused the episode and Squidward seemed to be angry with the creature, seeming like the character was talking about how he was annoyed with Squidward's loud and awful clarinet playing, Squidward got angry with him and slammed his door shut, before hearing his doorbell once again, Squidward seemed to have had it with him and re-opened up the door again, he looked up at a much taller figure with a horrified face, before seemingly getting knocked out.

Squidward then woke up strapped onto what seemed to be like a hospital bed, he was terrified not knowing what had just happened to him, what's most surprising so far about this episode is that SpongeBob and Patrick have yet to make an appearance.

The tall creature walks up to Squidward in a completely different-sounding voice, it sounded much squeakier but yet he still sounded like he was speaking gibberish, Squidward starts worrying about what happened to his clarinet, then, the creature picks up Squidward's clarinet from a long rectangular table covered in surgery tools, and walks closer to Squidward, before shoving the clarinet right into his mouth, causing Squidward to stop talking, and him exhaling through his mouth made the clarinet make loud buzzing sounds.

The creature then talks in a low-pitched firm voice, which confused me on why his voice pitch kept shifting, he then grabs a pair of scissors before throwing them right at Squidward's head, hitting him directly on his forehead, I'm glad there wasn't any blood, yet.

He then rips the pair of scissors right out of Squidward's forehead, causing Squidward to scream loud in pain, he spat out his clarinet, right before his head starts dripping a tiny bit of blood, Squidward started breathing heavily and begged to be brought back home, tearing up as he claimed that being tortured by the creature is worse than being with SpongeBob every second of his life, the creature finally talks in a normal but yet low pitched voice, and says "That's what I thought."

The screen then fades black once again, and cuts to a dirty, gray-colored boat in front of Squidward's house, the figure steps out of the boat and opens up the trunk, revealing Squidward tied up with rope and his clarinet back in his mouth, the figure then walks up to his houses' door and throws Squidward inside, he rolls on the ground crying in pain, then he crawls up his stairs with scratches all over his body, with blood stains on his face and head, and lays down on his bedroom floor, the camera fades out before the narrator starts speaking, and says "Well kids, now you know, if you're bothering someone, be sure to quit it, you're not getting anywhere in life by doing that."

I was extremely filled with rage and holding back tears, I was wondering, is this what the show has come to? I didn't know what to do except turn off the TV and go to sleep, hoping I'd forget about it in the morning, but no, I didn't, I didn't forget about it at all to this very day, and now you know, you can't trust those who make you happy in life, because who knows the dark secrets they keep hidden from others that could ruin someone's entire life.
